| BIOGRAPHY |
Caleb was born in Dallas, TX to Thomas and Jean Harding. His father left the family in pursuit of an affair with his secretary a couple of years after Caleb was born, and this left his mother not only devastated but alone in raising him and his older brother, Joshua. Caleb began to hate both his father and his older brother for making his life a living hell, given his mother was bitter about the former and so wrapped up in the latter that Caleb found himself not really fitting in to the bigger picture all that well.
His mother was contantly complaining that he was never going to make anything of himself, however, and young Caleb grew sick of such talk. It was about this time that he began submerging himself in the drama program at his high school, where he was finally given the attention he craved and felt that he deserved. And for the first time in his life, he was happy.
After graduating high school and refusing to attend college, he left home just six months before his 19th birthday. Determined to make something of himself, Caleb put his acting 'talents' to use and spent nearly a year auditioning for roles while working at a diner as a cook to help pay the bills. His mother was positive that he was wasting his time and effort (and embarrassing the family in the process), but he knew that he had to keep on trying - if not to prove himself, he had to for his sanity. He saw minor successes throughout his first year in the city, but it wasn't until 2000 that things really blew up for him.
It was then he won the role of Michael Guerin on the sci-fi series, Roswell, which he began work on not too soon after. Although the series ended in 2003, Caleb had proven himself as an actor and finding roles was a bit simpler than it had been before. Not only that, but the project was where he met his best friend and (unknown to the both of them at the time) future girlfriend, Kennedy Lawson. The two hit it off instantly and have been close ever since.
Despite the fact his mother was still unhappy and Caleb later discovered that he had a half-sister via his father (a half-sister he later became pretty close with because of their shared Hollywood statuses), things were going exceptionally well for him. He went on to star in such movies as Just Married and the National Treasure films, the latter of which had a sequel released in 2007, Caleb auditioned for his first crime series. He is currently working on the fifth season of Supernatural, where he plays Dean Winchester.
In his off time, Caleb began experimenting with his vocal talents and worked his ass of during the writers' strike to record his debut album, Journey Underway, which hit Amazon and iTunes on November 18, 2008. With a hit TV series, the highly anticipated sequel to National Treasure about to hit theatres and a pretty publicized relationship with Kennedy Lawson, life couldn't get more exciting for Caleb. |
